DANCE

Giving back as a freelance dancer: I am so overwhelmed by everyone’s love for Indian dancing that I am eager to share my art with them. I utilize my passion for Indian classical dancing to perform in many local fundraisers supporting causes like JoeAnne's House, East Meets West, KCR and YMCA to name a few.

I am a freelance dance instructor and am resuming my dance classes for the summer and fall of 2020. The proceeds of the first 2 classes from every participant will go to the local frontline warriors of COVID-19 who are tirelessly working day and night to keep us safe. The number of people in every class will be limited based on the BC government guidelines. I hope I will be able to bring people’s spirits back up during these difficult times. 

Kelowna Fringe Festival: I was selected to showcase Indian classical and folkdance forms at the Rotary Centre for the Arts. The event was well attended and my performance was appreciated by all.

Okanagan’s Got Talent: I made it to the Semi Finals of the Okanagan’s Got Talent competition held in Vernon between September 2019 and March 2020. I got a chance to surround myself with immensely talented people with expertise in different streams of the performing arts. It helped me flourish as a performer and improved my stage presence.

Digital Impact Festival 2020

Despite the unprecedented times during COVID 19, I enrolled myself to the Impact festival (Vancouver) to virtually hold a dance workshop and showcase an Indian Classical dance performance.
